Working together with our sister company Instructor Development Philippines (IDP), the only dual destination IDC program in the Philippines that operates through two PADI 5* CDC Dive Resorts, we provide a wide range of experiences to prepare you for your professional career. This program will have you experiencing the highest level of Instructor Development training, mixed with the most cutting edge training in Marine Conservation Science. As a graduating Instructor for IMR, not only will you gain the capacity to function in a research capacity, you will become a member of the Institutes dive team with the opportunity to lead dive courses in three different professional environments. This program is for motivated individuals who wish to take a dramatic step in their career, and become leading professionals in the world of diving and marine conservation science.

- PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor Certification
- Learn to Instruct in three different professional environments
- Intimate knowledge of coral reef ecosystems and processes
- Intimate knowledge on Indo-Pacific coral, fish, benthic, invertebrate and disease identification
- Underwater field training in 3-Dimensional reef modelling, diver operated Stereo Video System (SVS), benthic assays, and reef impact protocols (coral bleaching, coral disease, drupella spp., and crown of thorns starfish outbreaks
- Data analysis of images using the most up to date software systems (ReefCloud, EventMeasure, RealityCapture, AgiSoft MetaShape, Gwyddion and ImageJ)
- Leadership experience within a Non-Profit NGO
- Experience working with Marine Scientists in a professional environment
- Experience realising, teaching, and cultivating innovative research techniques
- Experience leading underwater research dives, PADI courses, and resort guests

This 12 – 16 week course is intended for those already involved in marine science and conservation and are looking for the complete professional experience in the world of diving and marine conservation science.
Working together with our sister college Instructor Development Philippines (IDP), the only dual destination IDC program in the Philippines that operates through two PADI 5* CDC Dive Resorts, you will receive the full professional training required to teach SCUBA courses all over the world. Combining IDPs instructor training with IMRs research fellowship is for motivated individuals who wish to obtain a career in the world of diving and marine conservation science.

Research Assistant + IDC Prerequisites
- Minimum 18 years old
- Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months
- PADI Divemaster
- Minimum 6 months Open Water Certified
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science (or equivalent) is preferable but not essential
- Minimum 3-month commitment
Research Fellow + IDC Prerequisites
- Minimum 18 years old
- Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months
- PADI Divemaster
- Pursuing/completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science (or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months Open Water Certified
- Minimum 12 week commitment (prices will vary)
